Scripture: Philippians 3:12-14

Sept 10, 2015

                    Are You Pressing?

It seems that in this everyday life there are so many situations and life storms that keep us unbalanced and sometimes we feel we are drowing in our own challenges from day to day life.  But if we are too live a life of faith we must remember what our Lord spoke to us about such things and what Paul the apostle wrote about pressing towards the goal. Even within my own life, it can feel heavy and tiresome but today as I read this scripture it lifted me and reminded me that God knows and God cares about our situations and that our focus should be planted in Him and Him alone.

Scripture:  Philippians 3:12-14 (niv)  Not that  I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.  Brothers, I  do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.  But one thing I do. Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.  I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me  heavenward in Christ Jesus.
