2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (niv) Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
It was some years ago when I wrote my first blog entitled, "The Joy In Knowing. It led me to meet some interesting people that seemed inspired and motivated as I spoke about the message of Christ to a number of those persons who reached out to me through this blog and excited in reading more. So, I thought that I would go back and resurrect the message of "The Good News" found in Christ. The two main components to this message is the word, "freedom and transformed.
Galatians 5:6 (niv) For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. Galatians 5:13(niv) You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature, rather, serve one another in love.
Within this text is the key factor to this message which is love, that sustains us and expresses through the Spirit everything that Christ did for us and answering the question at the cross of why He died for us? It was because of love that Christ chose to lay His life down that we may be free and set aside or apart for His purpose.
Ephesians 2:4-10 (niv) But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions---it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith------------and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God---not by works, so that no one can boast.
So now the truth is revealed about the joy in knowing, having an intimate relationship with Christ not because I find myself perfect but because of what He did for me makes me perfect within Him for He lives in me that I should show who Christ is by letting His Word abide in my life and letting Him walk with me, trusting Him with my life because of the price He paid with His blood to redeem me, freedom because I am one with Christ.
This joy is revealed not just by my faith walk, but within the promises of God that He has a plan for my life if I continue to trust in Him. And even when I mess up or fall to the wayside, He is there with open arms to except me back and even correct me. It is His steadfast love that endures forever, He will not forsaken those He loves, even when we turn our backs to him.
Isaiah 53:6 (niv) We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
This is the mystery and joy the world will never understand or find far fetched. But we as Christians live with joy and knowledge because of what Christ has done for us. Even in the face of death we know that Our Lord and Savior has overcome death at the cross through the power of the Holy Spirit because He is the Resurrection! He holds the keys of life and death. Our lowly bodies will be forever changed into spiritual bodies that we may have eternal life with Him.
